Friday Finds: Savor By Suzie

I had the wonderful opportunity to sample some amazing gluten free/grain free pretzels from Savor By Suzie.

They sent me a complimentary sampling of their pretzels. The Gotta Have It All Pack Grain Free Pretzels includes the following full size offerings and is priced at $27.45:

  • 1 bag Sea Salt Grain Free Pretzels
  • 1 bag Roasted Garlic and Herb Grain Free Pretzels
  • 1 bag L’il Bit Spicy Grain Free Pretzels
  • 1 bag Milk Chocolate Grain Free Pretzels
  • 1 bag Dark Chocolate Grain Free Pretzels

What I Loved

  • Everything – I loved everything about these pretzels and the company!!
  • First of all, the pretzels are delicious.  They are crispy, but not overly hard.  They have very good flavor.  I preferred the Sea Salt variety (but I always like simple flavors).  The rest of my family enjoyed the Roasted Garlic and Spicy Pretzels.  The spicy pretzels have just a bit of heat – not overpowering at all.
  •  The ingredient list is short and pronounceable. Most of the store bought brands of gluten free pretzels are made with bioengineered ingredients where the main ingredient is corn.  Not these.  Check it out:
    • INGREDIENTS: Cassava Flour, Potato Starch, Palm Oil, Tapioca Starch, Faba Bean Protein, Tapioca Syrup, Salt, Milled Flax, Sunflower Lecithin
  •  They have chocolate covered pretzels.  Let me say it again for good measure:  they have chocolate covered pretzels, and they are amazing.  I will be reordering these.
  • The price point is competitive.  By now you know that you will be paying more for products with better quality ingredients.  Sure, you could pick up a cheaper bag of gluten free pretzels at the store…if bioengineered is your thing.  It’s not mine.
  • There are subscribe and save options available to save you some $.
  • You are not only supporting a small business, but one with an awesome mission!  Read on…
With each purchase you are supporting a company that supports those with differing, but valuable abilities.  Savor By Suzie was intended to be a place where neurodiverse people could contribute their talents and skills in meaningful ways to help the company thrive.  I fell in love with their story, and I would encourage you to take a few minutes to read about it on your own.  You’ll be encouraged, uplifted, and challenged to rethink the views our society holds regarding those in our neurodiverse community.  I know that I was.
I firmly believe that our dollars have the power to do so much good when we think intentionally about the businesses that we support through our purchases.  Big and small purchases alike can impact people and communities for the good.

I'd love to know what you think!
