Finding the best new gluten free products on the market can be a daunting task. Read along as I give you a run down of my favorites from my recent trip to the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo.
I recently attended the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo in Secaucus, New Jersey. I have attended this event in the past, but this year I had the privilege of attending as a blogger. What a wonderful weekend I had discovering some wonderful new gluten free brands and products as well as meeting up with some of my “old” favorites.

Best New Gluten Free Products
Best in Show :
If I could select one company/product that just knocked my socks off, I would give that award to the company 88 Acres.
A Massachusetts based company, 88 Acres is passionate about procuring the best ingredients to include in their line of granola bars and seed butters. I had the opportunity to sample their Apple & Ginger Seed Bar. Hands down, this is the best granola bar that I have enjoyed in quite some time. Amazing flavor and wholesome, safe ingredients.
In addition to granola bars, 88 Acres also crafts utterly amazing seed butters. I must be honest: I have never been a fan of seed butter. So when I was handed a sample at the 88 Acres booth, I accepted it with a bit of trepidation. Then, I tasted it and immediately asked if I could try the other three flavors. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G . That’s it. Amazing. The Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter is insanely delicious.
Best New Gluten Free Discovery:
Jovial’s Whole Grain Gluten Free Pastry Flour
I have long been a fan of Jovial’s line of gluten free pastas. Honestly, their pasta is hands down the best tasting pasta around; it has incredible texture and cooks up perfectly every single time. But this weekend I was introduced to Jovial’s gluten free pastry flour.
When I returned home from day one of the Expo, one of the first items I pulled from my goodie bag of samples was the flour. Just a few days prior I had begun work on a recipe for gluten free pumpkin pancakes. I was very curious as to how different the recipe would be with a gluten free pastry flour. So, at 4:00 that afternoon I made pancakes. The results were unbelievable. Substituting Jovial’s Gluten Free Pastry Flour for my preferred gluten free flour blend, yielded light, fluffy, and puffy pumpkin pancakes. I seriously couldn’t believe it.
While Jovial’s flour impressed me, what impressed me even more were the conversations that I had with Jovial’s staff.
Their food philosophy and dedication to purity is admirable, and I felt as if I had met “foodie soulmates”. My love for this company grew by leaps and bounds after really getting to know the company behind the label. Check them out, my friends.
Best New Gluten Free Snack:
My kids are chip-snackers. They simply love chips, and as their mom, it can be challenging for me to find healthier alternatives to the fat-laden, fried chips that fill the market shelves.
Mozaics are popped chips that are made from wholesome ingredients like black beans, green peas, split yellow peas, and potatoes – all organic, too. Mozaics come in a variety of flavors, my favorite of which is Sea Salt. They also are available is several sizes including small bags that are perfect for lunchbox snacking. The best part? All of my children loved them (and so did I).
Best New Gluten Free Baking Item:
I have known about Pascha Chocolate for quite some time. However, I have never had the opportunity to sample it. So when I was looking through the brands that would be at the Expo and saw Pascha, I made certain to make a visit to their booth a priority.
Pascha’s Chocolate is:
But, amazingly, their chocolate is full of flavor and richness. I love this line from Pascha’s Founder, Simon Lester:
“…the less you touch a food product, the more you let it take its natural form. And the purer and more delicious the taste.”
While visiting with Pascha, I picked up a few bags of their baking chips to try for myself.
Straight up eating, these chips were decadent and luxurious. Included in baking recipes like my Gluten Free Pumpkin Muffins with Chocolate Crumbs, these chips elevated the chocolate-goodness to a grand new level. These are a must try for sure.
Best New Gluten Free Cookie:
Partake Foods Mini Cookies
This company, founded by a husband and wife duo, was created in response to their daughter’s food allergies. Instead of letting the frustration of food allergies discourage them, they developed safe and delicious foods that their daughter could eat. And from that, we all benefit.
Partake Foods’ Mini Cookies come in a variety of flavors, all free of the top 8 allergens. All of their cookies are free of gmo’s, artificial flavors, and preservatives. I was able to sample the Sprouted Grain Chocolate Chip Mini Cookie, and it was divine. I look forward to trying their other flavors as well. They offer a very reasonably priced 6 pack of cookies as well.
Some of my old gluten free favorites…
The Best Gluten Free Breadcrumbs
Aleia’s Italian Breadcrumbs
I have tried many, many different gluten free breadcrumbs and none even comes close to the quality, texture, and flavor found in Aleia’s Italian Breadcrumbs. They cook up perfectly in both fried and baked dishes like my Chicken Bruschetta.
The Best Gluten Free Snack Company
Enjoy Life Foods
Gluten free snacks abound! There is no shortage of chips, bars, and cookies to be had. I love Enjoy Life’s line of products for several reasons. Number one, they are easily accessible. I know that I can walk into my local grocery store and will find a healthy variety of snacks and baking chips at my disposal. Also, they are priced well, often have coupons that I can use, and are just plain delicious and safe.
The Best Gluten Free Tortilla Chip
These tortilla chips are my family’s favorite. They are amazingly thin and crispy and have incredible flavor. They are readily available at my local grocery store and Whole Foods.
The Best Gluten Free Frozen Foods (tie)
Veggie Fries are vegetable based fries. Our family’s favorite flavor is the broccoli and potato fries. Baked to a nice crispness and you have a delicious, veggie infused fry. I was also able to sample the company’s Veggie Tots and Veggie Rings at the Expo.
Brazi Bites are small frozen, Brazilian style cheese bread bites. They come in a variety of flavors including Cheddar Parmesan, Garlic Asiago, Zesty Pepper Jack, and 3 Cheese Pizza. They are the perfect snack, and I often pick them up if my kids have friends over or as a game day treat.
